ABOUT THE CAUSE
Did you know – 1.5 million pregnancies are terminated annually in India, with three out of four abortions not even taking place in a hospital. These cases involve expectant mothers who see no other choice but to terminate their pregnancy, even at the expense of their safety, due to reasons like:
- Pregnancy out of wedlock
- Rape resulting in pregnancy
- Abandonment by partner
- Violent/abusive partner
- Financial constraints
All proceeds from ticket sales are being directed to the work of the Saved Pearl Foundation – but here are some simple ways that you can make the most of your run and help expectant mothers choose life for their unborn babies.
